Primarily Bahaeddin Veled and Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, scholars such as Kadı Burhaneddin, Kadı Siraceddin, Sadreddin-i Konevi, Şahabeddin Sühreverdi and mystics such as Muhyiddin-i Arabi settled in Konya, and they turned the city into a cultural center with the works they produced.

Your driver and guide will be at your hotel on time to meet you in the morning. The first visit point on the way will be Sultanhan Caravanserai. It is the largest caravanserai in Turkey. Caravanserais were inns built on the roadside, where travelers, merchants or travelers usually stayed overnight. These structures contributed significantly to the development of trade and economy in ancient times.
Arrive Konya early afternoon, first visit will be to the Mevlana Museum. In the museum, works belonging to Mevlana (Rumi) and Mevlevi, as well as handwritten books, plates, oil lamps and musical instruments are exhibited. The museum also includes Rose Garden, Dervishan Gate, Çelebiyan Gate, Hamushan Gate, Pir Gate (Küstahan Gate), Tomb Entrance, Recitation Room, Silver Gate, Kıbâbu’l-Aktâb, Serenity-i Pîr, Hz. It consists of Mevlana’s Tomb, Semahane, Masjid, Dedegan Cells (Dervish Cells), Mothers Cemetery, Şeb-i Arus Pool, Ney Players Cemetery, Specialization Library, Çelebi Mansion and tombs.
After the museum visit, you will go to the local restaurant for lunch and the most delicious local dishes will be served like “tirit or pide”. After lunch, we drive to Alaaddin Hill (a prehistoric tumulus) to visit the 1000-year-old Alaaddin Mosque. Alâeddin Mosque, one of the most important great mosques of the Anatolian Seljuk Empire, is one of the oldest Seljuk works, and there are more than forty marble columns from the Roman and Byzantine periods in the structure, which has a minaret with a single balcony.
The next visit is to The Tomb Of Şemsi Tabrizi, a wandering nomadic dervish who came to Konya in 1244 and met Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi. The most important change in Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi’s life begins with his encounter with Şems-i Tebrizi. Next visit Sadreddin-I Konevi’s Tomb is one of the most influential thinkers of Sufi philosophy and a great Persian philosopher.
Next visit will be Tavus Baba’s Tomb and Atesbaz-i Veli Tomb. The real name of Tavus Baba is Mehmet (Sheikh Tavus Mehmet-el Hindi), his hometown is India. There is the tomb of Tavus Baba in Meram district of Konya. We know that he was a follower of the teachings of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi in the 13th century. His tomb is a plain stone structure without an inscription. Drive to Atesbaz-i Veli Tomb; Mevlana is one of the famous students of Celaleddin Rumi. He was given the task of chief cook in the lodge. The tomb is of the classical Seljuk cupola type.
